====== Backup and Recovery ====== * //Azure Backup// and //Azure Recovery Services// are two distinct services offered by Microsoft Azure for data protection and disaster recovery. * **Azure Backup** is primarily designed for data protection and restoreability, whereas **Azure Recovery Services (Azure Site Recovery)** is focused on disaster recovery and business continuity. * The backup vault **must** be in the same region as the data source being backed up. * ❓Is it a hard requirement that the vault be in the same region as the data source or a recommendation?
